چکیده
Aluminium metal matrix composites are utilised extensively in a variety of engineering applications, including those involving automobiles, aerospace, and other fields because its superior tribological properties. In the present research work, an effort was made to investigate wear behaviour aluminium alloy called Al6061 that manufactured by process two-step stir casting. The strengthened with zircon particles. particles were varied three different percentages: six percent, nine twelve percent. A pin-on-disc testing machine used Al6061-Zircon at elevated temperature 100°C. Experiments performed as per design experiments had been generated using Taguchi’s method. order do analysis on data, L27 Orthogonal array chosen. During process, investigation conducted determine impact applied load, speed, percentage reinforcement, sliding distance response parameter. An variance (ANOVA) table regression equation established facilitate this study. conduct study dry resistance, aim select smallest possible features. scanning electron micrographs show presence It also shows distributed uniformly matrix. worn out surfaces grooves surface moving parallel direction. According outcomes, factor major is followed distance, reinforcement. conclusion, confirmation tests validate experimental results.
